Just recently I learned that some of my ancestors lived in Denver in the early 1900's. I was born and raised in Colorado, but none of us knew of these people. My parents and grandparents knew all our Reed relatives in Colorado when they were still living. In research in Cook County, Chicago, Illinois, I have learned that one of my ancestors, Isaac N. Reed, died in Chicago in 1905, and he was sent to Denver for burial in Fairmont Cemetery. Doing a little more research I also learned that one of his sons, Calvin Reed, was living there at that time, but died in 1906, a year after his father was buried in Fairmont Cemetery, and he was buried there as well. I know nothing at all about Calvin Reed, and not as much as I would like about his father, Isaac N. Reed. I anyone connects to these Reeds, I would really like to hear from you. Also, if any of you live in the Denver area, can you tell me if Fairmont Cemetery is still in use? Any and all help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Doris Reed Forsyth
