One of my ancestors, Adonijah Reed, was married to Elizabeth Newhouse in 1831, in Delaware County, Ohio. They lived in Delaware County and raised 9 children there. In 1855 they moved to Adams County, Illinois, where they died. Have records of most of this family. In August, 1824, Adonijah Reed married Mary Craig in New York state. Does anyone have information on either of these marriages? We have just recently learned from legal records that Adonijah did have a prior marriage to his marriage to Elizabeth Newhouse.
