I am interested in contacting researchers who have knowledge of the John Reed/Reid who married Eliza/Elizabeth Tate in Orange Co. NC in 1787. The name spelling might have been Reed/Reid/Read. A son (Jesse Reid) was born in 1803, probably in Wake Co., NC. Here is what I know so far (from another researcher).
