Peg I would be interested in comparing notes and in John Henry's descendants. Did your mother find that John Henry had a brother named David or Davis (I've seen it both ways) married to Patsey Ellis in 1821. David (Davis) and Patsey are my ggg grandparents. Their son Benjamin (Bennett) is my gg grandfather. I also recently found a sister Sarah Sally b 1798 who married a Benjamin Baston 12/20/1820. I have found in a couple of places that Benjamin Reed married Eleanor Yocum in Mercer County Kentucky in 1792. Wonder if Benjamin could have been Charles Benjamin or Benjamin Charles? My Henry Reed was born in 1799 in Garrard County and died in 1881. I think he is buried in the Highland Manor Cemetery in Mercer or Lincoln County Kentucky Did your mother find any further info regarding Henry's father, such as his parents or siblings or where he was born? I am leaving for Nova Scotia on Friday and will be gone for 2 weeks. Maybe we can share information when I return.
