John - I do not know anything about Henry Reed except that several of his grandsons (including my great grandfather) named Henry Reed as their grandfather from Guilford Co, NC - I'm trying to find out Henry's parents and siblings. I'm not sure that the Henry Reed that married Agnes Bell in 1766 in Rowan Co, North Carolina is the right one but I think so. My great grandfather (who was Henry Reed's grandson) in a Missouri county history said the Reed's came to South Carolina first then moved to Guilford Co, North Carolina before the revolution. I think they moved to Rowan Co, NC, in a part that later became Guilford Co. especially since Henry Reed and Agnes Bell got married in Rowan Co, NC.
