A place that might be well worth checking........... there was a James Denny of Orange Co. NC ( Orange is next to Guilford , in fact I believe part of Orange became Guilford) he purchased or sold land that James Denny had which joined the line of James Watson on Eno River. This is March 1755 Orange Co. Deed book. #1 . And I believe this is the same James Watson who had a daughter Helen who married William Reed Jr. son of William Reed Sr. and Elizabeth Sharp Douglas. other names on this document were witness W.
