To those of you related to William Reid/Reed who married Mary Boyd Brennan 14 June 1783, I have made contact with Kathryn Reid Layton, who descends from Samuel Reid, a brother of our William. She has a copy of a document from the Cumberland Co., PA Orphans Court, Vol. 5, dated Feb 16, 1813 which lists the children of James Reid, deceased. Included is William Reid of Crawford Co., PA. Apparently his brother James Reid, petitioned the court, to have the real estate divided. The children listed are: James, the eldest son, living in Buffalo Twp, Cumberland Co. (now Perry Co.) John of Lycoming Co., PA William of Crawford Co., PA Martha, wife of Christopher Irvine of Mifflin Co., PA Ephraim of Ohio Samuel of Tennessee Margaret, wife of James Walker, of Tennessee I have a trip to Salt Lake City this week and I hope to obtain a copy of the document.
