Cecy, I believe that you might be connected to one of my Reed lines. I have John Reed m. Margaret Carson. John was born in 1757 married Margaret 1779 in Guilford Co. NC. They had a son Carson P. Reed that married a Tranquilla Jenkins in 1823 in Alabama. he died in Giles Co. TN. Tranquilla was the dau of Jesse Jenkins and Anne Martin. Also John Reed and Margaret had a grandson Robert D. Reed that married who had a dau Lura Reed married to Robert Black. ( the D. stood for Donnell) P. Pittman
