    2. I am in that boat. The only thing on the cetificate was J Reed and he was supposed to have died when James was young and his mother remarried. And I have no idea who she married. Thanks, Linda

    3. Hi Linda, I sent your last note on to Christine who has taken up the search through LDS history center I believe. I think you two should communicate. Maybe there's a connection as her mother Artie Reed and sisters were taken away from parents and placed for adoption in early thirties. You know it was nothing for families to live in one state for a few months and then pick up to live several states away for work elsewhere in those days. I was helping them search but there are things now that Christine and her mom needs to do before we can go any further and I have been working two jobs and taking a class so I have not heard from her in a while. She is also a really busy gal with a couple of jobs and teenage kids so please be patient if you do not hear from her right away. Good luck.
