I am searching for living Read family members. Those of my line would have been born and/or lived in Brundish, Chelmondiston, Dallinghoo, Gosbeck, Laxfield, Stradbroke, Wattisfield, Wingfield and Woolverstone; all of Suffolk county in England [UK]. Head of Family names were Frederick, John, Henry, Richard, Robert, Samuel, Thomas and William. Most would have been agricultural laborers, horsemen, carpenters and some worked in shipyards and aboard ship. The years included here would be late 1700s to 1900. After this time, my particular branch moved to the US and changed the spelling of the name to "Reed". Would love to find "cuzzins"! Thanx, TL Sturgill
Mine came from Framlingham in Suffolk about 1827. The family patriarch was a Robert Read. Is this consistent with your research? Hi I was told my line of Reeds probably came from Ireland, but who knows...The first I can find any record of is John Reed,b.Ireland 1790. Does this happen to coincide to any of your redords.
