Hi, I am new to this board. I am looking for information on Benjamin Reed b 1772 probably in Fincastle Co. Virginia m 4/03/1792 in Mercer Co. Kentucky to Eleanor Yocum b 1775-1776 also in Fincastle Co. Virginia. Eleanor's father's name was Henry Yocum Sr. Esquire. At one point Benjamin & Eleanor lived in Garrard County Kentucky and then moved to Casey County Kentucky. They had the following children: Polly Reed b 1793-1796 Henry Reed b 1799 m Anna Bastin David Reed b 1801 m Pastey Ellis in Casey County in 1821 Nancy Reed b unknown If anyone has any information on Benjamin I would greatly appreciate hearing from you. I was excited to read your message. My gggrandfather was Jesse Yokum Reed, born 1793 in the Tenn, Kent. area.. He married Luticia Landrum in Green Co. Tennessee in Sept. of 1814. I was thinking his middle name might be his mother's maiden name. You have not listed Jesse as one of their children, but wondered if you just missed him. He could have been born before Polly. I know I just found three more of Jesse's children from an old family bible. Jesse named my ggrandfather David. Maybe after his brother??? Please let me know if there could be a connection. Linda ... I am interested in your line of Reeds. John Henry Reed & Anna Bastin are my gg-grandparents. My mother had put together a family record. However, she has the name Charles Reed for John Henry's father...no mother listed. I have some information on John Henry's descendents if you are interested. Thanks...
