One more thing, there was a story that my grandma born 1889, came to see her cousin or half brother William or John or James; however, when she arrived her letter notifying him of her pending arrival was still in the mailbox as he passed away before she could get there. She had a child born in 1914 named John StJohn from her first marriage; her husband was killed in the war of England I believe. Frances "Fannie" Hafley was born 5 July 1792 in Washington County, Tennessee, daughter of Conrad Cornelius Hafley and Mary Elizabeth Miser. I have her married to Russell Carpenter and living in Hermon, St. Lawrence County, NY when my g grandfather was born in 1829. Because of a census I also have reason to believe that there was an Elizabeth - not a child - sibling, aunt, ? - living with the family at one time?
