Nancy REED is d/o James REED & Mary STUART//STEWART. She was also the 2nd wife of James FULLER after the death of 7Lydia Herrick DODGE at Lowell, Lake Co., Indiana 4 Nov 1852. Abraham DARST died about 1859. That made Nancy REED DARST FULLER the mother-in-law of her sister and my g-g-grandmother Sarah H. We actually have a wonderful photo of Oliver & Sarah REED FULLER will have to see it we and get Richard a copy for vol. 3 of the HERRICK genealogies now that I think of it. 2. Does anyone out there have a Wallace Reed b. 1825 in their dbase? I have hit a brick wall with him. He is my husbands gg grandfather. Last I have is he was a teacher in the 1850 census in St. Thomas, PA. His wife and only living son went to live in Westmoreland Co. Maybe that is where they originated or just migrated. His wife was Catherine, possible a Burkholder, any info on her would also be appreciated. The only living son was Cyrus Taylor Reed b. 1849. 2. I'm a newbie on your list and follow the family of Andrew REED (sometimes spelled REID) who emigrated to America from Ireland with his family. Some date the emigration abt. 1643 while others say 1630. They settled in Boothbay, Maine. Andrew Reed was my 6th great grandfather. Is anyone else following this family. I have a fair amount of information, but would like to share. Carol Reed Kennedy

    3. Eva, I did a search on Jeremiah Reed & cannot find one b. in 1777, that fits the other info. There is a Jeremiah b. in 1777 in Abington, Mass, whose father is Hezekiah & mother is Deborah Tirrell (This is in One World Tree.) I don't think this is yours as his wife Rebecca d. in 1848 in Abington, Mass. I did a census search: in 1830 McMinn, TN, there is a Jeremiah Reid with males 1,1,1,1, -,-,-,1 and females 1,2,1,-,-,1. (This is the Eastern District, p. 177) In 1820 census index there only 3 REIDs in TN -- they are David, Robert, John (and not in McMinn Co.), and no "REED" spelling. In 1820 census index and 1810 census index there is Jeremiah REED in Litchfield Co., CT In 1800 census index there is a Cornelius REED in CT , but not a Jeremiah of either spelling. 1840 McMinn Co., TN, I find Francis REID 1850 Subdivision 23, McMinn, TN, I find Francis REID, age 52 I hope this helps Lynda V ----- Original Message ----- From: <Wrakj1234@aol.com> To: <REED-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, February 10, 2006 10:08 PM Subject: Re: [REED] Re:James Quincy REED > Lynda, I noticed your email to someone on the Reed family but do not > believe > they > are any of mine, but noticed you are a member of Ancestry and I wondered > if > you > could check on a Jeremiah Reed who married ? then remarried a Francis > (Fanny) > > Hafley. He had four children from his first marriage then he and Fanny had 7 or 8 more I believe. Jeremiah Reed was born March 28, 1777 and died July 18, 1834. Francis (Fanny) Hafley Reed was born:July 5,1798 and died November 8, 1874 in the McMahan Church Cemetery in McMinn Tenn. If you do not mind could you tell me if he is the son of Cornelius and where Cornelius Reed was born and where they died and are buried and when? I know I am asking a bunch but I would certaintly appreciate it. I am at a brick wall. Thanks so much. Eva
