    3. P. I considered that John Reed/Margaret Carson marriage many years ago as a possibility for my family. But gave it up. Yours is the first reference to a Jenkins I have received or seen in low these many years. I don't know where the Black in my great grandfather's name came from either. I will keep this in mind. My line, John Denny Reed came to Missouri because he got a Military Land Warrant for fighting in the 1812 War. He came in 1819. I know nothing about his family, but have one reference to a Robert Reed who went to TN. that seems to be connected. Robert went to Rutherford Co, TN. That's not too far from Giles Co, TN. Thanks. 2. Samuel Reed (1764-1835) had a son named John, but I do not have a middle name. John was born June 17, 1796. This is the only John that I can find in the line, but have only finished my direct line. Sorry, this isn't much help. Many of these Reeds are buried in the Woods-Reed cemetery and in the Milford Center cemetery. I'll try to see if there is a John Quincy at either. Samuel's father was also named Samuel. Good luck!
