    1. Re: [REED] Re: REED-D Digest V03 #92 - also, Johns, Stjohn, Koons names
    2. I am!!! but i'm so confused as my grandma Agnes E Reed, Johns, StJohn, Koons had so many names and not sure if she used a maiden or her mothers or real name. All I do know is she passed away in Billings, Montana from a heart ailment of sorts. She was born in 1889 from England. She listed on my mother's sister's birth certificate that she was from Shreveport Louisiana but she miss spelled it..so I hardly believe it to be factual..My mother was born in 1925 and on her birth certificate it lists Agnes from England..Her sister born 1922 in Effingham, Illinois has a different father listed; however i've recently found a cousin and our mothers look like "IDENTICAL TWINS." Fathers listed our Howard C Koons and Johns...Howard from Pennsylvania in the Oil Procurement??? on my mom's sister's birth lists Johns as father being 36 or so. Anyway..very confusing I know but I, too, am desperately searching for this grandpa whom i've never met and know nothing about. Thank you e-mail [email protected] - p.s. one more thing Agnes had a son born 1914 named Johnny or John Bernerd StJohn. He applied for a social security card in Billings, Montana in 1937 same year as mom's sister's babtisim but can't find my mom in records from schools or anything..only know she married in 1941 just months before Agnes passed away. Thanks again

    3. Hi List, I know where Shamokin, PA is, so I guess that's a red flag that our Reeds may be connected. I usually lurk, but I am researching Robert Reed, married to Elizabeth Gardiner, who's children married into the following families: Barr, Alexander, Brotherton, McAlevy, and Ewing back in the 1700's. I work and don't have a lot of research time anymore...so if you ask me if my Reeds connect with yours in Nebraska in 1910 etc. I don't know...I'm sorry, the line I do, broke off from the Reeds about 1762. It is an interesting family though, and information keeps popping up. Happy Hunting, Denise

    3. This is more than a coincedence. I would almost bet we are related. My GGrandparents are also buried in Garlanbrrok cemetery. When working with "The Archives" I notice that there were other Reeds in the same area that my people lived in. I have found in my research that although they are not of an immediate family they were related. Some times cousins, Aunts and Uncles tended to settle in or near the same community. I would like to carry this conversation further. I live near Kansas City. My town is Bonner Springs, Kansas. Where are you living or general area. Thanks I have hope. Frank
