If I recall correctly, I couldn't find them in the 1860 census. At the time I didn't think anyone would be able to find them because the films were almost completely illegible when I got them. I'm not sure if I tried in Cass Co. though - I may have just looked in Clinton Co. based on the family being there in the 1850 census.
