Late in life he married in Bond County, Illinois, Polly Bickerstaff (or Biggerstaff): the date of their marriage license was December 31, 1827." Pg. 299, " Henry-3 Reavis, by his first wife, had issue: Isham-4 ba 1779. Elizabeth Delilah-4; m William Burgess. Peraby-4; m Joshua Renfro. Mary-4 (Polly); m Aquilla Low." Pg. 305, " Pheraby-4 (Henry-3, Thomas-2) was married May 3, 1813 in Madison County, Illinois, to Joshua Renfro, not long after arrival of her family from Kentucky, when it had moved from North Carolina. He was a son of John Renfro, Revolutionary soldier of Virginia, born in Bedford County of that state, November 12, 1760 and married to Ester in Virginia in 1781. They moved to Barren County, Kentucky, where Joshua Renfro was born January 3, 1796. Young Joshua, making his way to Illinois about the time that Henry-3 Reavis moved his family there, married Pheraby before he attained his eighteenth birthday. The Federal Census of 1820 locates "Joshua Renfro" in Bond County and as having a family that then consisted of the parents, one son "under 21" and "three white females" whose ages are not indicated." Pg. 306, "Joshua Renfro became a resident of Montgomery County, Illinois, and died there intestate on July 30, 1859. The papers of administration show that he owned property in Bond County, and include various receipts in the names of several persons, whose relationship to the deceased is not disclosed. Pheraby Renfro survived her husband and lived to an advanced age. Unfortunately our knowledge of their children is meager. Pheraby-4 and Joshua Renfro had (probably) the following issue: William B. Renfro-5; m Elizabeth Elseba Renfro-5; m William R. Merriam. Hiram Renfro-5; lived to a considerable age. Elizabeth Renfro-5; m Armstrong. Mary Renfro-5; m Portwood. ???? Renfro-5; m William Denton."
