>Received yesterday an excerpt of an 1830 Rowan Co NC document, >where three slaves were transferred frm Jeremiah and Mary Patrick, >Elisha and Elizabeth (Reavis) Patrick, William, John, Enoch and >Ashberry Reavis "to" Jeremiah, Jr (believed to be son of Jeremiah's >first wife) Morgan and Sarah; as well as a Henry Hendricks and Jared >Bailey. (I have NO idea who those two were) > >Of course William Reavis married Mary Ann/Marie Hendricks. > There's more than one Henry Hendricks in this area, but I suspect that this one is the one who married Isabella LUCKEY in 1795 and was deceased by 1838, when his estate was settled. I *think* this Henry is the father of Mary Ann Hendricks Reavis, but am not certain. His other children, named in the estate settlement, were James (moved to Indiana by 1838), David, Margaret (b. ca. 1798, m. William Henry BAITY), Elizabeth (m. Samuel BEEMAN), Jane (m. Jonathan CRANFILL), and George (living in Iredell Co. by 1839). There are lots of Baileys in this area, but I can't identify Jared.
