Seems like interpretation of census is different as well..so guess will put Edwards/Edmunds..I have a letter frm Kenneth Wilde that says, the girls were Edmonds..the prob also with William and Fanny is that on the 1860 census wife is given as Angeline, never been able to reconcile that fact, unless Angeline was Frances/Fanny's middle or given name..This could be a real "clinker", esp since the 1879 will of son Wm C lists mother Fanny, and the 1870 and 1880 census has Fanny..just makes no sense! You know maybe that Candacia Edwards was Edmunds..and per- haps this is reason not having any luck locating her family, need to check out Edmunds in the area!
