Trying to catch it, but taking a lot of time, I now have over 22, 000 in my Reavis database, no way to undo. Empathize! I guess if you update EACH time they come out with new program, may not happen, but who can afford that, you just get one, and another comes out! *B
Well now here we go again, different data. Have just been researching Isabel d/o William, all records indicate she was born 1836 Ohio..but Curt (thanks Ol' buddy) just sent me 1850 Madison Co In census data, and guess what all his chn are born Indiana per this census, and one other thing. Hendricks w/o William-4, in fam hx is given as Marie; but in the family hx of Isabel, her name is given as "Mary Ann" also on her widow's pension application papers; and on the 1850 census Ind "MARY". Here is the 1850 Madison Co In census dta Revis, William 52 b NC Mary 50 or 58 b NC Isabel 16 b In John 14 b In Jesse F. 12 b In (F/Franklin) Sarah C. 6 b In Yet on the 1880 census Gasconade Co Mo Rector, Samuel 62 b OH Isabel 45 Oh (Revis) Go figure!! Need two out of three, so guess we have it for Mary, fam hx, census data and pension records. Has any- one tried to locate her parents? *Barb
Dear Barb, I have had the same trouble only worse; all my data has been deleted and someone has put in their family with mine. I going to have to unistall my FTM and put it in again to clear all of this mess out. I had the new 7.0 which is connected to the Family Finder and I think that is where so many of these people are coming from that are invading my FTM. What a mess! I sympothize believe me. A Portrait and Biographical Rec of Boone and Clinton counties, Indiana (pub in 1895) says "Enoch Revis came to Indiana in 1845 and settled on his present land..." suggesting that he should have been in Ross Twp, Clinton Co., Indiana in 1860 as well. If I recall correctly, I couldn't find them in the 1860 census. At the time I didn't think anyone would be able to find them because the films were almost completely illegible when I got them. I'm not sure if I tried in Cass Co. though - I may have just looked in Clinton Co. based on the family being there in the 1850 census. Hi - the Portrait and Biographical Rec of Boone and Clinton Co. Ind states that Enoch Reavis in Ross Twp, Clinton Co.has remained on his present homestead since he settled there....so that would account for the missing 1860. He settled on his present land in 1845. Sue
Hi All - remember there were 2 Enoch Reavis's, Enoch J. b. 1830, marr Hannah Cripe 15 Jan 1857 in Cass Co Ind. He was in Monroe, Madson Co. Ind in 1860. The 1856 Male enumeration of Ross, Clinton, Ind show: Enoch 59 b. 1797, this must be the one b. 1807, just trying to get out of war Enoch J. 36 b. 1820, this must be the one b. 1830 John 27 b. 1829 Joseph G 27 b. 1829 Sue

Found some interesting data; he was in Ross Twp, Clinton Co Ind 1850 census, and 1870. Where was he in 1860, verified not there! *B
Having merged three dif FTM programs, 3.0, 5.0, 7.0;let me tell you, it has played havoc with my data! First find things in places not supposed to be; second, each program had their own place for notes, wills, census, marr..etc...and you find those all messed up too..NOT going to update anymore; to much data to get so confused! Prob is you don't notice it unless looking for it..esp the notes come up just terrible! *B

Barb - do you have documentation other than the Reavis book, that Isabel Reavis's father William Reavis (marr to Maria Hendricks) died in Kansas? So far, I have never been able to find him in Kansas. Documentation would help. Sue
married first Thomas JAMES he died Feb 1868 Mad Co Ind chn: Mary Ellen Aug 1856 Ind m/Richardson Sarah Caroline Sept 1858 Eunice Jane Mar 1864 Thomas M. Much of the data on Isabel is frm her widow pension papers, and the 1880 census of Gasconade Co Mo. *B
According to new data received, her name was Nancy aka Polly, and was born 1803..died between 1844-1848, when her husband remarried. Their chn were James 1832, Sutherland 1836, Sally 1839, Edward 1842, Samuel 1844. I cannot identify a Nancy Reavis/Revis b1803 who lived in Wake Co. NC; this be another descendant of William-2, so many still unidentifed. *B
