Carrie, I don't have any further information on Elizabeth A. Raynor except that she was possibly born in Missouri. Information I have seen was that Henry Raynor was first found in 1819 living in St. Louis Co., Mo. This article, written by a gg-grandson, says that it is believed that Anna, Henry's first wife was born in Tn. and went to Mo. where they met and married. I have never found anything to prove or disprove this. Henry's pension application does not mention anything about the his Raynor family being Cherokee indian. Or any other tribe of indiana. But weren't the Cherokees from NC? There isn't much information at all on my Henry and his family. I have seen, on FTM, a site that lists my Elizabeth as the wife of Bart Dotson. But she wasn't born until 1835. My cousin tried to call the person who has that site, and they were not very nice to her. They wouldn't even talk about it. So, we were back to square one. The 1850 Madison Co. Ar. census listing for Henry Raynor: #170/170 Hilburn Township: Henry Raynor 62 farmer Md (this census says Maryland, pension says NY) Anna 47 Tn Elizabeth A. 15 Mo Henry 17 Mo Phillip 17 Mo Ellen 11 Ar Lewis 8 " Martin 4 " Other children, not on this census: Samuel Raynor b. 1826 Mo Laura "Dolly" Raynor b. 1833 Mo. Anna died in 1852 and Henry remarried in 1854 to Mary Elizabeth Fitzgerald. They had 3 children: Nancy Jane b. 1856 Carroll Co. Ar. James L. b 1858 " Ruth E. b. 1860 " Henry & Elizabeth sold the place in madison co. and moved to Carroll Co., the area which is now part of Boone Co. ar. Their burial place is not know for sure. And that is all I know of my Henry Raynor. I hope someone can help fill in the blanks, for maybe this will help someone else! take care, norma At 01:29 PM 11/6/1999 -0600, you wrote: >Norma, >I am curious about your Elizabeth Raynor.
