Hi-Glad there is a list for this surname now, and thank you....My husband's g grandfather was Jonathan Lambert RAYNER, b.ca.1861 Eng. It is oral family history that there were 4 RAYNER bros who came by ship to US and then 2 went to Canada and 2 went to CA for gold rush. Supposedly they came around the Cape Horn to San Francico port, CA too.......ca.1850. Any data or a seemingly cousin line connecting to this would help us.... Jonathan Lambert RAYNER m.ca. 1886 in CA to Sara Emma LOCKART and they remained in the Sonoma Co area at least until I found them on the 1920 Maricopa Co., AZ census.
