So happy to see a Rayner on the Raynor list. Where did your Rayner's settle in the US? Thank you, Elaine Rayner. >> Hi Elaine, I do not Know if any of my Rayners came to the USA. My Great Great Grandmother Elizabeth Rayner immigrated to Australia in 1855 there were other Rayners from Cambridge that also immigrated to Australia and settled in the same area as Elizabeth RAYNER LEE that also happen to come in to my family tree but I have not made a connection between them. I feel there is a good possibility that they do relate as families seem to follow each other to new area's, ( William Rayner a family chart below.) There could be a good possibility that some Rayners that connect to my Rayners came to the USA following Cousins as I know that Elizabeth's , Mothers , Sarah Jarman had a brother who's family immigrated to the USA and these Jarmans ended up around Salt Lake City Utah. Back in the early 1800's it seems that a fair amount of Cousins often married each other. May be because there was no others in the area's back than Geting more off the subject of Rayner's I have a cousin that is related to me about five times annd she is also her own cousin, this is why I love this Redneck Verse. Redneck Family Tree Many many years ago when I was twenty three, I got married to a widow who was pretty as could be. This widow had a grown-up daughter who had hair of red. My father fell in love with her, and soon the two were wed. This made my dad my son-in-law and changed my very life. My daughter was my mother, for she was my father's wife. To complicate the matters worse, although it brought me joy, I soon became the father of a bouncing baby boy. My little baby then became a brother-in-law to dad and so became my uncle, Though it made me very sad. For if he was my uncle, then that also made him brother To the widow's grown-up daughter who, of course, was my step-mother. Father's wife then had a son, who kept them on the run. And he became my grandson, for he was my daughter's son. My wife is now my mother's mother and it makes me blue. Because, although she is my wife, she's my grandmother too. If my wife is my grandmother, then I am her grandchild. And every time I think of it, it simply drives me wild. For now I have become the strangest case you ever saw. As the husband of my grandmother, I am my own grandpa! Authur unknown. :) I was born in Australia and immigrated to the USA 1973 . Descendants of Elizabeth RAYNER Generation No. 1 1.
