Wilson Rayner is the son of Thomas Raner and his wife Ms Gillespie. I can't remember her first name without some digging. They lived in the Madison/Albemarle area of VA. They are connected with my RANER James Harvey born 1821 in Orange Co. I have more information on the family that I will be glad to exchange--just need a little time to dig in my files. Ms Gillespie's father was Alexander. Seems several of the Raynor/Rayner/Rainer/Raner boys that were in the civil war fought under the mother's maiden name.
