    1. [RAYNOR] Anyone else on this list looking for RAYNER from Eng to US in mid-1800's

    3. Hi-I joined this list thinking RAYNER's would also be looked for. I have no idea if they are connected to RAYNOR yet as we have very little on them. The story we know from oral family history is there were 4 bros coming from Eng to US in search for gold. 2 were supposed to have gone to Canada and other 2 settled in CA while looking for gold. I have not found them on a ship passenger list yet, and supposed at least 2 of them were to have gone around Cape Horn to CA. That was some trip ca.1850..... Anyhow, I had found note of 4 RAYNER's getting their Citizenship papers around mid-1800's in Philadelphin PA and need to follow up on that to see if that is them. Any other data though would be helpful to me. And just wondered if there was anyone else here searching RAYNER. I remember some of the references to RAYNOR's on LI, as I was born ca.1947 and raised in Suffolk Co, LI and moved away in mid 1986. I remember RAYNOR's Beach on Lake Ronkonkoma, a great place in the 50's and early 60's to go.
