grandparents were George and Ruth(Hancock) Raynor of jackson co. ill. around the Alto Pass and Bald Knob area...George had 1 half bro.and 2 half sisters...Tom ,Bessie,and Lowe..Both sisters married into the Grammer family..no little of George's parents...Ruths parents were Edward Lewis and Amy (Walker) Hancock of Alto Pass Il...Amys parents mother Lizza Walker and husband(name not avail.as yet)came from ether Alabama or Georgia sometime before the cival war .husband was said to be a veteren of that conflict but no one knows to which side he fought...Ruths youngest brother is a long time resident of Granite City Il...Claude Hancock only boy of 7 children of Edward and Amy....George and Ruth had 15children 13 living to adulthood..Oldest son George (Jack) Raynor of Carbondale IL..Frank Raynor of New Douglas IL.. Charles Raynor of Carbondale IL..only living sons..3 daughters still living trying to get info on them...all other children including my mother Betty L.
