Am seeking information on any Ratliff/Ratcliff/Radcliff line that is known to have intermarried with Native Americans from any tribe before about 1850, or so. I know they are supposed to have married into the Cherokee and the Choctaw tribes. My family came from Virginia and Kentucky in the era of about 1740 - 1840. Even if the information you have is only family tradition, rumor, or hearsay and has not been substantiated, I would be interested in hearing your story. It is only a rumor in my family as well, but you never know when you may find a clue in someone else's information.
