I thought I would try this again: Hopefully you might have an answer for me. My Gggrandmother was Sarah Francis Lillie Mae Ratleft (spelling changes). I do not have a birth date. She married George Allen Edwards b. 1862 in New Market, Madison Co. Alabama. My ggrandfather Lummie Lee Edwards was born 1891 in Elkmont Alabama. Fannie (as she was called) went by the name of Reed. Her father unknown Ratliff died when she was young. Her mother remarried to unknown Reed. Do you have any Ratliffs in Alabama? Have you noticed any naming trends similar to my gggrandmother?
