    1. [RATLIFF] GATLIFF, possibly RATLIFF in TEXAS?

    3. There are two listings in the Index for marriages in Williamson County, Texas that make me wonder if they are not RATLIFFs, rather than GATLIFFs James W. who married an Elizabeth Turner in 1890 T. who married Effie, Garner in 1900. Now the reason I wonder about these supposed GATLIFFs being RATLIFFs is due to the maiden names of the brides. The name TURNER shows up in association with my lines of RATLIFFs: Joseph RATLIFF purchased property in Williamson County, Texas on Aug. 31, 1859 from a Winslow TURNER 1850 Census for Williamson County, Texas: for Guilford RATLIFF lists a Winslow TURNER, age 38 b. Missouri living in their household as a laborer. The name GARNER is associated with a Mrs. Ivy or Ivory RATLIFF who married a William Garner, in Williamson County, Texas in 1871 and I think possibly that Mrs. Ivy RATLiFF was Ivy Anderson who married J.M. RATLIFF. James is found frequently in the RATLIFF history, so a reasonable thought and the T. GATLIFF, well he may have been one of our Thompsons, or Toms.. maybe not too. Does anyone have a James W. RATLIFF marrying a TURNER or a T. RATLIFF marrying a GARNER in their lines. thanks, Kelly
