Ratliff List & Barry & Delanie, We have a James Pinkney RATLIFF b. 1850 in Attala Co., Mississippi, s/o Joseph RATLIFF and Sarah Barrentine. James married Muhulda Campbell in 1871 in Louisiana. James Pinkney (J.P.) and his family went to Florida sometime about 1885 or so, for a few years. Their children were: Elizabeth, James Naulon, Modenna "Allie" and SIELA IDELLA b. 1887 in MARION COUNTY,FLORIDA. Why was J.P. & Family in Florida? Were there other family members there? He only stayed for a few years as the next two children were born in Texas, Dulutha b. 1890 and Allen P. b. 1893. Could there be any connection to your RATLIFF'S in Georgia or Florida?? or further back on Joseph Ratliff? We are searching for Joseph's parents & siblings also. Joseph RATLIFF belived born about 1809 - 1815 in Tenn, Kentucky, or Mississippi. (every census record, we find him on states something different!!) Fathers name MAY have been JOHN RATLIFF??
