My g grandfather, Cornelius Ratliff (or Ratcliff), is listed in the 1910 Mingo County, W.Va. federal census as being a 59 year old coal miner, living in the Lee Magisterial District, part of Buffalo Precinct. His wife's name was "Susie", age 24. He had two daughters Carrie, 6, and Gladys, 11 months, and a son named Garland (my grandfather), 3. I am in desperate need of info about this man. What part of Mingo County was Lee Magisterial District in in 1910? What coal mine(s) might he have worked in? When did he leave the area? (He is in Portsmouth, Ohio in 1920.)
