In an enterview many years ago Nancy Elizabeth Shrieves states that her mother was a Ratliff and that she died when Nancy was very young. This is what I know on this family: Nancy Elizabeth Shrieves b: Nov.30,1849 in Chambers Co.,AL. d: Jan. 1,1950 in Gotebo TX. m: 1870 in Covington Co.,AL. to Eli Reid Merrill. Children were: Thomas Greenberry, Rufus, William, Sarah, Walter, Lula, Martha, John C., Flora, Eli Reid Jr. Her father is: Possibly Thomas Shrieves b: abt 1824 in VA. married ? Ratliff. d: bef 1870 children: Nancy Elizabeth, Mary. Anyone researching Ratliffs of Chambers Co.,AL. or any county in south Alabama, do you have a marriage of a Shrieves/Shreeves and Ratliff ? Does anyone have access to Chambers Co.,AL. marriage records, that can look this up for me? The marriege would be sometimes prior to 1849. Thank You Becky
