It is ironic that there are so many similarities, but no connection. My gg grandfather Elijah Ratcliff was from Virgina and moved to Kentucky. My father (Roy W. Ratcliff) was born in Oklahoma, and his father (Ernest William Ratcliff) moved to Arkansas and then to Texas. I spent my junior high and high school years in Burke County, NC (Morganton). We moved to NC because my father was an Army recruiter. I never knew I had any KY and VA connections until I started during my family tree two years ago. I came here from Fort Knox, Ky.
