Dean - I also found the James Warren Ratliff that you spoke of. But if he was born in 1860 then he can't be the James Warren Ratliff that married Mary A Perry Overton in 1866 Jefferson Co Ala. I would love it if you (or refer me to someone) that could be my 'devil's advocate' on this line. I feel that I am on the correct track. My grandfather's father was William Henry Ratliff from the Tishomingo Co, Miss area and William had a brother - John. I purchased John's SSDI application.
