Does anyone on this list happen to have any information on a RATCLIFF family who lived in ORANGEBURG or BARNWELL DISTRICT, SC who had a daughter named LYDIA who married WILLIAM WALKER in 1799?? They are my gggrandparents on my mother's side and I am hopelessly lost. I have seen references to a SAMUEL RATCLIFF who lived in BARNWELL DISTRICT when the 1790 census was taken. He had no sons and only two females living in his household. I think one of these females may possibly be my LYDIA . Of course, he could have been her grandfather. Does anyone have any info on this SAMUEL (or any other Ratcliff male) which could possibly get me on track on finding out if he was Lydia's father?? Thanks a lot for any help. Frank Trowbridge
