Hi All, We are still looking for a Joseph Ratliff b. Abt. 1815 in either Tenn, Miss. or Kentucky (depending on which census record you look at.) Our Joseph m. 1st Sarah Barrentine in 1843 in Miss. Children: Willilliam H.; Margaret; George, James Pinkney, Greenberry, Martha, and Joseph Ratliff. All born in Miss, except for Joseph born Louisiana 2nd Wife - May have been Mary Johnson Aten (widow of John Aten) in 1861 Sabine Parish, Louisiana (not proven) 3rd Wife - Elizabeth Gibson (widow of H. (sp) age 57 with youngest son Joseph age 18 and a Frank Brown age 9 as a boarder. Think this May be our Missing Joseph Ratliff. Can any of you connect to this Joseph??? Jim & Linda Radcliff in Soggy Sacramento! radcliff-family@attbi.com Hi Kelly ;^)
Kelly, Joshua (b.1825) and Marietta McCullough Ratliff had a daughter Fannie Ratliff who married Will Howeth. However, she was born about 1862. I also have a Frances, daughter of George (b.abt 1869 son of Joseph and Frances Harrell). Could it be either of these? Carollyn Guidry cmg239@aol.com

Carrollyn, my Great Uncle George did indeed have a daughter Frances, but I feel that this Fanny is born to early to be his.. since he would have only been about 8 or 9 when this Frances was born in 1878. Do you have any information on George's daughter Frances, though??? I would be interested. As for Will Howeth's wife, Fanny RATLIFF... yes, I think I have her in my notes correctly.. she is buried there in Mitchell's Bend Cemetery, isn't she? And do you know if Will had another wife, before Fanny? There is a C.E. (Elizabeth) Howeth, wife of W.T. Howeth and the dates are such that she could have been a first wife of Will's, do you know? Then Fanny the second..??? but the other Frances RATLIFF, the one born in 1878.. I wonder who she is? thanks, Kelly

I have come across a RATLIFF, female that I am thinking is tied in with some of my RATLIFF lines because she is buried very near and in amongst other RATLIFF family members. I do not know if she were RATLIFF by birth or by marriage but she is buried in the Mitchell bend Cemetery, Texas near the Somervell County line. Near her are Darwin Richard RATLIFF and his wife Francis J. (Giles) RATLIFF also some of Velma (RATLIFF) DURANT's family and the HOWETH's who are married in to RATLIFF lines. The information given to me is limited and only reads: RATLIFF, Frances (Fannie) Oct. 14, 1878 - Mar. 29, 1952 I am as I said curious about this probable family member, does any one know of her, about her, whom to if she was married in? Thank you Kelly
