    2. This is not my line, but I have a little info. This info came from a family group sheet and has not been documented by me. William Henry Ratliff did m S.E (Lizzy) Light This Williams parents were Jesse Bean Ratliff and Sarah Jane Farris. William and his siblings were buried in Six Mile Cemetery in Llano, Texas. The reason I was so interested in this William at first was because he has the same birth and death year as my ggrandfather William Henry Ratliff. However, my William was buried in Llano cemetery in Amarillo, Tx. I thought the the similarities were interesting. Kelly Culpepper

    3. We have a William H. Ratliff b. abt. 1845 in Mississippi who was married to a Sophia Aten in 1863 in Louisiana. This William died about 1908 believed in Williamson Co., Texas. Their children were: William H. Ratliff, Jr., Joseph, Mary, George, Effie "Jewel", John, Thomas, Samuel and Frank. In the 1860's this family lived in the Blanco Co. then 1880's they were in Kimble Co., Texas and later to the Val Verde Co., Texas. Have more on this line, and would be happy to exchange. William H. Ratliff b. abt. 1845 was the son of Joseph & Sarah Barrentine Ratliff. Looking for any connections !! Surnames: Ratliff Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/RGCBAEB/342.348.350.546.1.1 Message Board Post: Larry, This is so weird. Because the Elijah Ratliff I have was born in August, 1836 and died Nov. 10, 1916, I tend to think it must be the same person as your wife's Alonzo Elijah Ratliff. The dates are uncanny. My records show, however, that Elijah was born in Goliad, TX and was a Citizen of the Republic of Texas (according to my mother-in-law, who has a picture of his gravestone in Llano). They also have a portrait of him and his wife, Lucinda Jane Willbern, in their living room. But he didn't marry Lucinda until Sept. 1, 1868, when he was about 32 years old. Elijah and Lucinda had 9 children, Walter Lee, Mae, Affie, Alfred, Nancy Jane, John D., Louella, Alonzo ("Lon"), and York. Because one of his children is named Alonzo makes me wonder again if there is a connection. If Elijah was the father of Calvin Taylor Ratliff, born 1855 when Elijah was about 19 years old, maybe he had a previous wife? I don't have anything about where he was before he married Lucinda, so he might have had another family in MS ... who knows? My in-laws don't know of any stories in the family about his being married to someone else. Any clue as to who Calvin's mother was or whether he had siblings? What are your thoughts? Also, I found an ancestral record of a William Henry Ratliff married to a Sarah Elizabeth Light (rather than Price) on the Latter-Day Saints website, which you probably already know about. Same birth and death dates and locations as you have for both. Anyway, the more I look at this stuff, the more questions I have.... Let me know what you think. (I tried to reply to you privately, but the "mailer demon" returned the email with "user name unknown".)
