To All Ransom Researchers: The Matthew Ransom family moved from Ct. and settled in Vt. in 1781/82. There they lived, farmed, started businesses and raised their families. Other Ransom/Ransone families stayed in Ct. and other states and spread out all over this beautiful land of ours. After receiving numerous inquiries about a Ransom Family Reunion being held in the Woodstock, Vt. area and careful consideration, I have decided to do a little poling to find out what, if any, interest exists. As this is still in the early "pre-planning" stages, I would like to gather some information from any and all Ransom descendants. Would you like having speakers talking about the Ransom history and the area? Research methods? How many would be attending? What would you prefer for accomodations? hotel/motel/inn/campground?
