Carole, In this Ransom Digest, you were interested in the James Ransom that married Priscilla Jones. If you'll look in the GEDCOM I sent you, I have him all sorted out. He's the son of Richard Ransom of Brunswick Co., Va. Didn't we discuss the multiple Jameses in that area of North Carolina once before? There were at least four (4) James Ransoms in that area at about the same time. Many people have mixed them up. Even Ransom McBride's scholarly effort confused two of them. Oh, your database has me as a descendant of Samuel Ransom apparently, as you mentioned it again in this posting. That's not actually correct. I'm descended from Reuben Ransom Sr. Samuel is the brother of your Capt. Richard Ransom (m. Kizziah Portis). Also, the Digest posting regarding Clevious and Davis Ransom - you had little info on them. Look in my GEDCOM and you'll see I've made substantial progress on them and their descendants.
