He was a retired DX Oil distributor in Tunica. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and was a member of the Springdale Freewill Baptist Church. He was a Mason. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Waller Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gerald Castilo officiating. Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Ruth S. Ransom of Olive Branch; two sisters, L.C. Harris of Oxford and Lucille McCord of Water Valley. Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m. today.
