hello, I am looking for information on Charlotte Ransom, b. abt 1820+-5 years of Geneva, Ontario, New York. She married first to Charles M. Hollister, second to Johnathan Hudson. I know very little about Charlotte and Johnathan, but have some descendancy I can share. I'm also interested in Charles daughter Clara Hollister. she's part of the family, too. thank you for any help Cornelia

A good candidate is Charlotte RANSOM, b 7 Aug 1818, to Joel^6 [James^5^4,Robert^3,Joshua^2,Robert^1] RANSOM and Charlotte BENHAM. Their family was mostly born in Colchester CT, but in 1814 they had a child at New Haven, Oswego Co NY. This child, Loomis E, b1814, m 1847 in Hopewell, Ontario Co NY, suggesting that the family stayed around the fingerlakes area. [I also don't vouch for the descendancy listed, because WCR made many errors, including several typos in this entry.] Charlotte has only a birth date listed, no place or further info. Her father, Joel, died in 1820, and a little brother was born in 1824 [barring a long gestation or different father, this could be a typo for 1821, 7 months after Joel's death]. Loomis moved to Flat Rock, Wayne Co MI by 1843; his 3 children are listed as born before his marriage in 1847 . . . Perhaps they are children of his wife's previous marriage??
