J. H. Hill and the Rev. Billy Bowen officiating. Burial was in the Oddfellows Rest Cemetery. Mrs. Ransom, who was a member of the First Pentecostal Church, died Monday [Jan. 31, 1977] at her home. Survivors include four sons, George Ransom Jr., Charlie Ransom and William T. Ransom, all of Aberdeen, Lee Alvis Ransom, Pensacola, Fla.; six sisters, Mrs. Rosie Moon and Mrs. Mertie Best, both of Amory, Mrs. Willie Adams, Mrs. Alice Allan, Mrs. Betty Pruett, all of Aberdeen, Mrs. Trudy Allan, Hamilton, Ala.; a brother, Lemmie Tate, West Point; 10 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
