Hi, I don't have all the dates, but my grandfather was named Robert BUCK Randolph from Missouri. According to folk lore he rode with Jesse James.. His father came from Virginia -- I do think he had a least one sister. He never told anyone about his pass. He died in 1902 when my father was 8. My grandmother died when I was 4, so my father nor me had much time to ask questions. My grandparents lived in Jackson Co., Mississippi when they were married.. Talk in the little town they lived was that he and the Jesse James thing was so--- this was in the late 40s. All the land they owned was in my grandmothers name. That is about all the info I have on him, but would love to tie him in with some roots. I have searched everywhere-- Hope you can make some connections-- Age wise, your Robert could be the father of Robert Buck Randolph. Are you sure that is all of the children? I know 9 is a lot all ready. <smile> Alice D from Mississippi RANDOLPH-D-request@rootsweb.com wrote: > Subject: > > RANDOLPH-D Digest Volume 01 : Issue 57 > > Today's Topics: > #1 Mary Melissa Randolph [sjchaddock@arkbluecross.com] > #2 Re: Nellie Randolph [sjchaddock@arkbluecross.com] > #3 Searching for Robert Randolph ["LB" <arrenia@ctaz.com>] > #4 William J. Randolph on the 1850 census is the one you want. He was listed as the head of household instead of a dependent. The one I am looking for was the father of John F., my great-grandfather. Thanks so much for replying. Sorry I can't be of help. Harriette lalyco@mindspring.com
