My Gyles Randolph genealogy goes: Edmund Randolph (1601-1649)+Deborah Masters (1607->1665) *Gyles Randolph (1640-1684)+Elizabeth Gyles Randolph (1674-1724)+Mary Blanch or Bland (1664-1725) Giles Randolph (1688-1750)+Jane Wilson (abt1702->1750) The starred Gyles is not listed in all the genealogies. Some combine he and the Gyles married to Mary Blanch (or Bland). I do not have a will for the elusive Gyles, but I do have the christening info for his son. Extracted Birth and/or Christening Record for St. Mary the Virgin, Dover, Kent, England 1557-1769 LDS C036561 Gyles Randolphe chr. 25 Mar 1674 father: Gyles Randolphe mother: Elizabeth The dates do not add up either way. The first Gyles (b. 1640) probably would not wait until he was 48 to name his namesake. On the other hand the disputed Gyles probably would not have a son when he was 14. Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
