Hello Everyone, It's been awhile since I have posted to the list. I am the great grand-daughter of James Franklin & Martha Randolph, from Giles Co. Tennessee. I have been working on this line since 1999. James Franklin Randolph was born in Giles Co. TN. abt. 1857. His wife, Martha A. Randolph, also known as "Babe" was born abt. 1854, also in Giles Co. TN. James and Martha were first cousins. They had 6 children, all born in Giles Co. TN. Their names are as follows: Samuel Carson, Mary Lou, Nancie, Emma Lee ( my grandmother ), Ida Belle, and Walter Houston. James F. Randolph and Martha A. Randolph were married in Giles Co. TN. on July 22, 1877. According to the 1920 census of Giles Co. TN. James F. ( listed as Frank ) and his wife, Martha had been married 42 or 43 yrs. They had 12 children with only 6 living. I have several of their childrens death certificates and all name their mother as Martha A. "Babe" Randolph. I was told by other Randolph researchers that James F. Randolph married Martha Stafford and had 3 children. This is not the same James Randolph. I have spoke with some remaining family members and all say the same thing. There was another James Randolph in Giles Co. TN. born in 1866. More than likely he is the one that married Martha Stafford in 1891 in Giles Co. TN. I have more info on the Randolph's of Giles County Tennessee, and am willing to share with anyone interested. Thank you Robbie
