He sold land in Norfolk Co., VA, that appears to be land he inherited from his father, Giles II (1688-1750). Giles, III was born in VA and died in Northhamnpton Co., NC. From the book "The Wilford-Williford Treks Into America", page 319: 1792:-- "Giles Randolph, III signed his will in Northhampton Co., NC on 3/3/1792, and it was probated in June of 1792: in the name of God, Amen, I , Giles Randolph of Northhampton Co. and State of NC, being weak in body, but of a sound mind and memory, thanks be give to Almighty God for the same, but calling to mind the mortality of our nature and that it is ordained for all men once to die, do make and ordain this my last will and testament in manner and form following, that is to say first I give and bequeath my soul into the hands of Almighty God who gave it, hoping for acceptance with Him through the merits of our Lord jesus Christ, and my body to be decently buried at the discretion of my executors hereafter named, and as touching my worldly estate which it has pleased God to bless me with, I give and dispose of in the following manner (viz.). Item, I give and bequeath unto my son, William Randolph, five pounds current money to him and his heirs forever. Item, I give and bequeath to my son John Randolph one hundred and six acres of land joing Jos. Granberry's line to the eastward and two negroes, anmed Peter and Easter to him and his heirs forever. Item, I give and bequeath to my son, Mallaci (Malachi) Randolph one hundred six acres of land joining my son, John Randolph's tract, and two negroes named Joe and Macey to him and his heirs forever. Item, I give and bequeath to my daughter, Penelope Randolph, two negroes named Darcass and Nelson to her and her heirs forever. Item, I give and Bequeath to my daughter Elizabeth Randolph, one Negro woman named Rachall to her and her heirs forever. Item, I give and bequeath to my loving wife, Barsheba Randolph, one third of the remaindder of my land and three negroes named, Dinah, Cupid, and Lewis to her and her heirs forever. Item, I give and bequeath unto my sons Bryant Randolph and Thomas Randolph the remainder of my land not before given, to be equally divided between them, to them and their heirs forever. Item, I give and bequeath unto my wife, Barsheba Randolph, all the remainder of my estate except what will discharge myt debts, which I leave to the discretion of my executors, to sell, to her for the support of my four youngest children.
