Death: 29 Apr 1837, Lawrence Co,Al Burial: Fergason Cemetery, South of Hatton , Lawrence Co.Al Abraham was drafted into the army of The United States in 1780 as a Private at the Caswell County Courthaouse in North Carolina, under the command of General Bulter. He was a private in the company commanded by Captain Tate, of the regiment commanded by Col. Moore in the North Carolina line for six months. He marched to Hillsborough from Caswell and from there on to Salsbury to Phentol to Bell Mills where he joined General Davidson at Six Mile Creek at which place he remained until discharge which discharge has been lost.This service was for three months. He performed second service in 1781. At this time he volunteered under Col, and General Bulter. He marched in the month of September 1781 against the British and Tories near Wilmington where he was in am engagement at the Ramp Swamp where he lost his hores and eqauipage except his gun. This term of service was also three months. After this battle he was appointed to one of those who had it in charge to carry home the horses he supposed unable to perform a campaign on foot. He was then discharged. After the Revolution he moved to Greenville District of South Carolina. Abraham's service is verified by the claim his widow made to the Department of the Interior for his pension after his death on April 29, 1837 and by papers recorded by the Department of the Interior of his service.
