Diane, I agree that the gatewayed messages are a pain. It sounded like a good idea when I first read about it, but you are right, it's impossible to know what most of them are talking about. In addition, I have to scroll down to read it because there's so much unnecessary stuff at the begining of the message. Now scrolling down doesn't take long, I realilze, but being a Septegenerian, I don't have LOTS of time!! :-) John

I wonder if someone (perhaps the "mom/dad") on this list could tell me why I am getting all these "gatewayed" messages. They are overwhelming at times and most of them answer a question which is not even included so you have no idea what the conversation was all about. I wonder if others are having this problem on the Randolph mailing list? Only this list and the King County, WA list that I am on seem to be plagued with this problem. The secret to unsubcribing from any Rootsweb site is that the word (-request) must be in the address. In this case it would be RANDOLPH-L-request@rootsweb.com See the -request that differs from the list address? With every list, that is the process, so that the Auto Robot can detect it and automatically remove someone from a list.
