    2. Hi Jerry, The Fitz Randolphs and the VA Randolphs were two separate lines, but may be connected back in England some how. Some one with more research in that area could tell us. I do know that my research has shown that the Fitz Randolphs of NJ did migrate to the VA, WV, NC and GA. President Woodrow Wilson's wife was from GA. She's a descendent of the NJ Randolphs through the female line. My mother always said that she was a cousin but I haven't been able to find any connection. 1. Re:NY Randolphs
    2. Hello Dick and everyone else, My brick wall is the father of my great great grandmother EMEREGY LAVINIA RANDOLPH. She was born in NY or MA. The 1850 MA census has her born in NY the rest have her born in MA. She married BERIAH CRITTENDON FRISBEE 223 Jul 1830 in Westfield, Hampden Co., MA Now here is my problem: my mother always said that Energy Lavinia's father's name was PETER RANDOLPH. Last year while visiting a cousin, he got out his mother's papers that listed the name as STEPHEN. Last fall I came across a WILLIAM who married a EUNICE HURLBURT in 1811 in Southhampton, Hampshire, MA. Eunice was born and raised in this area. When my great great grandparents were married there was a EUNICE RANDOLPH listed on the census as having two females of the right age to be getting married. I have a feeling that she maybe the right ggggrandmother. Now I am looking for proof of this connection. 3. Excuse me for butting in, but do you mean that the Fitz Randolphs were from the same line as the Randolphs of Virginia? I have a Miriam Randolph born either Dec. or Jan of 1785. She married a Jeptha Billingsley in TN. Don't know who her parents are yet. Can't seem to find anything sold saying who they are. Several generations later they migrated to VA (which later became WV) with their church group "The Seventh Day Baptist." The Seventh Day Baptist originated in NJ as far as I can find out. Some of the NJ Fitz Randolphs later dropped the Fitz. They also migrated of NC and into western PA. There were also Randolphs who landed in VA. from England. The first one was Henry who was later followed by his nephew, William, from whom all the politically active Randolphs descended from. These are the two lines that I know about. Maybe there was another that I don't know about. I looked up the names of William and Nancy but I did not have anything on them. I hope that someone else can help you out.
