Hi, All; Just a quick note to let everyone know that Leslie and I have started the project of getting the "Ramey Book" on the Web. Leslie has obtained copies of about half the pages in the book and has started scanning them. I have gotten a web site on geocities to hold the information and have started building the HTML framework for the book. If I can beg, borrow, steal, or buy (preferably buy) a copy of the book, I will also help with the scanning. Our plan is to put both the scanned page images and an HTML translation of the book on-line. This will allow researchers to read a "clean" version and also look at the original text to make sure they agree with our reading. We also plan on fully indexing the on-line version. One problem area we are having is pictures. The pictures in Leslie's copy came out as black boxes, with no details. If anyone has cleaner copies of the pictures that they are willing to send to either Leslie or me, we will include them on the web site. NOTE TO ERNIE CASTLE: You mentioned in an earlier note that Dr. Rhamey's grandson gave you a contact number for getting copies of the book. Could you possibley post that information for everyone?
